Well, colony is over for the spring 2012 session, and I am as always amazed at the abilities of all my fellow members.  To be such a recluse, I really do enjoy the society of friends!   The other thing I never fail to take away is learning!   So much and as they say, so little time!  :)  Photo top is of group winners.  Bottom of souvenirs.  New web page is up at http://msartcolony.com.  Check it out!

Trying to get Airport Express to play nice with Airport Extreme.  Not happening!   Ahhh well.  Did manage to finish second of moderately sized paintings.  (Better than shooting the wi-fi! )  Painting made me recall the place.  Remember the beautiful reflected colors and the sounds.  Very few inhabitants unfeathered!    A wonderful beach along the California Coast, by Julia Pfieffer State Park.  Did also manage a few jewelry pieces.  Working on more angel pieces.  Also soothing!  :)

Costs are rising!

Well just coughed up money for new printer (Epson, my fav) and some paint from Daniel Smith (My other fav!)   Just looking at the lush colors is more fun than a chocolate store.  :)

Then so life would balance I had a conversation with my new friend, Marcell, the Shell.  Seen here.  IF you do not know Marcel, find him on youtube.  He is a huge hit for under 8s and over 30s.  (I have known grandmothers to spend HOURS on his reconstruction.)  Top pic is with his favorite ride the ladel and bottom is in his breadroom.

Only fair!  Antique silver 'Lady of the Mist' with freshwater pearls, cobalt and lapis!  And copper starfish with Prehinite nuggets.  Precious and semi precious gemstones are just fun!

Latest!

Here is a finish on a piece I started almost 2 years ago!  Time flies and so does my focus!   It was fall, it was in Texas and it was turning cool.  Nice time.
